THE FACELIFT
The main goal for this renovation was to create more of a modern outlook to a traditional style home, all while being extremely budget cautious. To make a difference in key areas, while keeping some of the original elements to bring the home up to present day standards was the main priority for the homeowner.
As a result, the orange Mediterranean tiles that flowed all throughout the main floor of the house was replaced with a very neutral coloured laminate. With efforts to help liven up the kitchen, the laminated countertops were replaced with white quartz countertops sitting above a brand-new stainless-steel sink and faucet. The kitchen walls that were once left exposed, were covered by white subway tiles.
The main floor powder room received a new porcelain vanity, with a board and batten wall finishing, all while the bathroom upstairs received a brand-new granite countertop, cabinet hardware, and of course new wall tile surrounding and shower hardware.
To shed new light on these interior changes, all the light fixtures were changed to more modern pendant lighting.
